TODAY: 7th/8th Academic Meet in Anadarko at 4:00 pm.


STUCO: Friday, Dec. 15th:  Holiday PJ Day and Candy Exchange - bring a small treat and give it away as an act of kindness, and the best part is you can come to school in your PJ’s (dress code still applies):)

Monday, Dec. 18th:  Mix It Up Monday - sit with someone new at lunch and make sure no one eats alone, be on the lookout for anyone who might need a friend.

Tuesday, Dec. 19th:  Holiday Sock Exchange - wear a pair of holiday socks and share a pair with someone who has shown kindness.

Wednesday, Dec. 20th:  Winter Wish Day - wear your goofy holiday attire, or as a bonus, wear something with the word “WISH” on it, let’s show our spirit and shine bright at the Winter Wish assembly! Mr. Leonard has his favorite Christmas suit all pressed and ready to GO! YES, you can wear your favorite holiday hat too!

MOST IMPORTANTLY!! Let’s show our kindness every day of the year!


FCA: Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will be every Thursday morning from 7:50 - 8:10 we will meet in the band room in the 6th grade building. This is for EVERYONE, not just athletes. We will fellowship together and do devotionals.


NJHS: Chick Fil A Mondays - 7th and 8th grade - Due to all the exciting Winter Wishes being granted, we will not have Chick-Fil-A on Monday. We will start back with orders in January!


Band: 2018-19 Owlette Dance Team Try-Outs are January 8th-12th 3:30 - 5:30. Must Sign Up in the HS band room with Mrs. Palmer. Open to all 8th grade -11th grade.

2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Thursday, December 14th at the HS Cafeteria from 6pm-8pm. Pre-pay tickets are $5/each or $7 at the door. Use link or QR Code below to order tickets. Musical entertainment provided by the HS Jazz Band and various solos & ensembles.

Academic Team/Scholastics/Mathcounts:  6-8th grade On January 10th Mrs. Bucher is taking our mathletes to OSSM for preliminary round for Mathcounts competition

6th grade regional is at Plainview intermediate school in Ardmore January 16th.

6th practice January 18

7-8 practice January 19 and 26th

6-8th grade Crossings Scholastic Meet February 27 OKC (limited spots available)

Mathcounts Regional March 24 Great Plains Votech in Lawton

State Mathcounts competition March 3 at OU Norman

6-8th grade Online Scholastic Tournament March 7-9-14-16-21-23 here (open to all students)


Yearbook:  Yearbooks are on sale now! New this year: if you would like a personalized yearbook, orders must be turned in by January 24. The basic yearbook order is due March 6th. Orders need to be turned into Mrs. Bucher in the 7th & 8th grade building before those dates.  

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:  

MATH TUTORING -- 3:30-4:30 pm: students will need to be picked up at 4:30 p.m.   

Tuesday - Mrs. Duncan - room 10 in the 5th grade building

Wednesday - Mrs. Ryswyk 6th grade building room 1

Thursday - Mrs. Davidson - room 14 in the ⅞ grade building


DAILY REMINDERS

  • Please make sure you are walking in the halls, using your inside voices, keeping your hands to yourself, and being kind.  Keep our halls clear of backpacks and books. We DO NOT play games that are not being supervised by a coach or teacher. Doing so will result in detention. Please do not wear “heelies” to school.

  • No charging in the cafeteria.

  • If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get the work you missed completed and turned in to your teacher.
